warm engine, high idle on start up 120-130 1966

I spent Saturday replacing the manifold gasket, switched the aluminum intake manifold to one without the vacuum port and cleaned/re-adjusted carbs. The revving issue is far better but still there, just not as bad. I'll check the float heights this week and if all else fails, I'll use some sealant to stop any leaks where the manifold meets the head to see if that will take care of the issue.
