Hi All,

Next month, my friends are making a 5 week road trip from Vancouver to Portland. First, they will fly out there from Brooklyn, NY and rent a car there. They are on a very tight budget and it sounds like their biggest expense is renting a car. Is there a way to save some money? Every penny counts.

I told them about checking the tire pressure and air filter.

Also, I recommended to put their heavy camera equipments on the back seat not in the trunk when climbing steep hills.

I might show them how to plug a tire if they like to learn it.
