Various windshield questions 120-130

I'm posting this on the other site as not all readers may visit both

I am about to purchase a replacement windshield and gasket for a 122 to install in a couple of weeks.

I was going to get a gasket without the slit for the trim. It's going on a black car, and I'm all right with no trim as opposed to beat up trim.

The part number for the trim I've sourced is 657440, and is also spec'ced for 544, 210. So it seems that lengthwise, the glass and opening perimeter in both the amazon and PV are the same?

Can anybody verify this having installed a trimless gassket in a 122? Is there any reason not to use this gasket?

The other question has to do with the glass.

I'd given a mechanic friend (who can get this locally from Volvo for less than I can buy it + shipping somewhere else) the part number 656843. Standard, clear. He came back telling me that that number has been superseded by Volvo to 1213297. None of the usual suspects VP, VIP CVI, show this number. The only hit I got googling Volvo 1213297 was Skandix.

So my question for everyone and especially Eric: is Volvo now supplying glass they get from Skandix as Volvo made stuff, or is this just a newer number and the usual suspects haven't made the change in their lists/coding? Anything I should be looking out for?

thanks
