740 Steering wheel replacement 700 1990

I found a relatively cheap, automatic 740 turbo wagon near me that I'm thinking about picking up as a cheap daily driver.


After test driving it, the interior is in fairly poor shape. One of my biggest annoyances was the fact that the foam padding on the steering wheel was loose, and was shifting and sliding around a lot under my hands.

I figure that I can keep an eye out for something in a junkyard to pull a steering wheel from, but I'm curious if the wheels/airbags from other volvos of a similar vintage would fit.

Are wheels from 200 or 900 series interchangeable?

What about 800's?
