why is my rpm dropping 200 1986

hello,
when i let off the accelerator at low speeds, the rpm drops and the car is close to dying, and it dies sometimes. it picks up quickly to normal idle though.

i checked the vacuum at several places and the car still has this rpm dip close to 0 rpm's.

the fpr is pretty new. the external fuel pump is essentially new with <10k miles.

i believe i replaced the internal fuel pump a few more miles back.

any experience with this?
