My 1987 just dies intermitently 200 1987

Any ideas why she just dies.... Mostly either idling or going slow or coming to stop. Starts right up every time. Does not happen every moment. Not right away in the morn but after she warms up a little... Noticed it more when the weather was warm... I think. Any ideas? Thanks lynn ....she is a 240 1987 and always runs well and peppy. Of course it is hard to find the answer when you drop it to the mechanic and it does not do it all the time..... I thought could be idle control valve... Told home to clean it out well and of course check cap and rotor
