Fuel filter/ Bentley Bible 200 1979

So the problem is that my fuel filter still has the original fuel filter on it. We take it off and clean it out. My dad tried to change it once. Went to every imported car place in Boise, ID and none of the fuel filters fit. Also tried ones from IPD and those didn't work either. So does anyone know if the 1979 244DL 4 door sedan Volvo takes an adapter for the fuel filter or have we not looked in the right place for one that fits? Also does anyone know if anywhere in the world they make a Bentley Bible book for the 1979 Volvo? Bentley goes to '83 but there's got to be something out there or does anyone know a book that's up there in the Bentley quality for a book? I've heard Chilton is okay then it goes one more up then the Bentley and that's what I'd like for a manual for my car. I hope I've made sense and if you have questions please ask.
