No start on 940 problem solved 900 1991

Wanted to share my work on my 940 over the last few months. I could not get this car to run. I changed fuel filter, both fuel pumps (not fun) and ignition switch. It sat in my driveway all winter and had to wait for warmer weather to work on it again. I have a tube of parts that I can switch out. I had checked the ignition with my timing light and it showed it was firing. On a impulse I switched the coil for a used one I had. Success ! The old coil output was so low it would not fire the plugs. Looking back the signs were there poor performance, and mileage. The car was sluggish like it was starved for fuel and poor acceleration. Oh yes I changed plugs too as well as wiring. Now it starts right up more power and much better gas mileage. Just wanted to share this perhaps save someone a lot of work and expense
