Mystery Connector Follow-Up 200 1993

I don't own a '93 but I have read that there is a relay on the drivers side fender somewhere.

You should be able to follow the wires from the fan back to a relay.

There is a pressure switch in the high side line. The pressure switch should be between the compressor and the passenger side frame rail.

The pressure switch closes the relay and then, the relay powers the fan.

Check to see which way the power or ground is operated.
That's is, if the power can come from the switch or from the other side of the relay and is grounded through the pressure switch.

I am not totally up to speed on the particulars. Try out CB's diagrams!
Since they run power to the relay it may be the latter.

Also check for a fuse that powers up that relay.

If nothing else you can put in your own power switch to run the fan manually or to give it a test to see if it operates.

Just for your information the engine should not overheat when you run the A/C, just not cool as well.
I agree it will run a little bit warmer as there is extra heat in the air out there but the radiator should be able to handle it.

This might be a heads up that the radiator needs service (cleaning) or replacement.
Does your cars instrument cluster still have what is know as a "temp faker" board installed.

You might want you look into that. It can jumps in wide swings when things go just a little to far warm and it can scare you..... Late or early if it feel like it!
