overdrive switch/light 120-130 1967

The original overdrive dash switch Volvo supplied was also a toggle switch and was mounted in the plastic cowl behind the steering wheel, but it had a long stalk and a handle that looked just like the turn signal switch and a overdrive indicator light mounted on the dash near the ignition switch.

Is the toggle switch on your 122 the type with a light built into it?

There are several ways to switch on/off the overdrive including using the reproduction overdrive switch that is available.

And you can find similar function generic lights or use some of the several lights that came in 122 or 1800 Volvos with overdrive.
