Contemplating a sporty car - long, mostly non-Volvo

I'll second that. My daily driver is a 2003 9-3 convertible, with 97k. Nice ride, but a money pit. The most common ignition problem is a $400 ignition cassette. It's non repairable - if one coil pack dies, the entire cassette is toast. I've had the car 6 years, 30K, replaced the cartridge 4 times.

And my spouse just traded in her 2002 9-5 wagon. Another money pit. The gates on both xenon headlights failed - no high beams. Also non-repairable and replacements are $540. Each. Replaced the car instead with a 2008 V50 with 50K.

I'd stay away from Saab
