Tips for installing heater hose? 700

1992 740. Heater hose between the engine and the heater control valve blew out. Have a couple of days until the part arrives to contemplate how I am going to install it (I can barely see where it goes, much less reach it with a wrench).

Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated.
