Could Bad Catalytic Converter be causing Code 221? 200 1989

hi trich- have thought my o2 sensor went stinko on my 92 245 about a couple years ago . ce light stays on but car runs great and gets good mpg. has 240k miles. looks like it just screws out of the exhaust pipe. one sage told me you have to replace part of the harness. cant you just reconnect the wire and be done with it. harness replacement sounds like an excuse for a big pay day for the dealer in clip city. what say you? also been told some of these 240s have 2 o2 sensors. did a quick look but only saw one. thanks tons oldduke
