1998 V90 PS pump noisy - replacement/rebuild options ... S90-V90

My original PS pump on my S90 began making grinding noises at 230,000km (144k mi) and since I had just installed a rebuilt Jorgen rack, I did not want to risk getting metal particles in that rack. A rebuilt pump was quickly installed. Not cheap but plenty less than another rack, with installation, wheel alignment, etc. And then you would still need a replacement pump.

By the time your magnet shows the pump is making metal, the particles are in the rack too.
