Knock sensor wiring 700

Hello everyone,

I am replacing the wiring harness on my 1987 760 turbo and need some info on the knock sensor wiring. My original harness had been repaired many times and probably been altered somewhat. While removing it, I noticed the knock sensor wiring was incorporated into the old harness. The new harness does not have a knock sensor connection. I was told that the knock sensor was not part of the engine harness but had a separate connection directly through the firewall to the ignition box. Can anyone help me out here ? I am probable going to have to run some new wiring.

Thanks,
Mark
