The Volvo OE accumulator arrived from FCP and installed without a problem. It actually shipped from Volvo NA out of NJ.

Here are more thread pictures with the Volvo OE on the LEFT and aftermarket on the RIGHT. Perhaps it will help with the analysis regarding the threads. The aftermarket unit is going back with a nice little letter including a pointer to this forum thread and to get a refund.

Thanks again for all the help - much appreciated. I'm taking the 240 in on Monday to be vacuum tested and charged.
