Thanks, that's all I needed. Get one bolt started then using a drift (ie screwdriver) I lever up the corner diagonally opposite the bolt. Sounds easy. No need to run out for KY either. One other issue. I removed both steel water lines, the one that runs to the heater and the one that accepts the lower radiator hose, the fan pulley, a small clamp that holds one water line to the exhaust manifold, a tee that holds the aquastat for the electric fan in the top hose and the goose neck. Cleaned them up by hand then finished the job with muriatic acid. That degreased and etched everything so I can paint the parts before replacement. The seat in the goose neck, where the gasket fits, is pretty good but there's a pretty good chunk missing from one spot. Not sure if there would be a potential leak there or not but can I use some silicone gasket sealer on the seat to insure that it won't leak? Also the book says to grease the gasket that fits behind the waterpump to hold it while the pump is installed. Would it be better to silicone it to the block or the pump or both? The surfaces have been cleaned with a rotary wire brush and look good, flat, shiny and no real pitting.
