1986 240 DL won't start 200

The Gods have smiled on me. I found a 1986 DL that has been loved (thank to previous owner!). It just needed a jump, but idled really high. I tried adjusting the throttle cable and then rerouted to the space closest to me. This lowered idle and I attempted to turn back idle and broke the hex shaped know. Now car won't start. Cranks but won't start help me get back in the 240 game.
