Starting issue 120-130 1966

If I've started my Amazon 100 times in the last week, this has happened 3 or 4 times when

1) car has been driven a bit, maybe 15-20 minutes
2) parked on a slight upslope and turned off
3) I try to start (have key on and press the starter button)

Clicking noise at the starter button but no start, several tries--same result.

Not sure what made me try this--maybe a recollection of seeing it but I rolled it back 12-18 inches and tried again. Starts. Coincidence?? Several times?

Thanks in advance. (And if you know, why and how to fix)
