Inner tie rod end, is it peened in place? How to remove? Photos! 200

I am read to remove my inner tie rod, except there is no good way to grip the tie rod end. This photo shows what looks like a part of the tie rod end peened into a keyway on... the piece it's connected to.

Does this need to be drilled out, or ground off?
