65 544 parking light lens removal? 444-544

How does the parking light lens on my 65 544 come off? It looks like the chrome ring has to come off first, but afraid to pull too hard. Possible the PO glued the rings on. Just want verification that the chrome ring comes first, then the lens will come away from the rubber. Hate when I do something stupld and break a part.
