Auto trans pan nut stripped! What next? Need help! 900 1994

I thought I'd do some basic maintenance on my daughter's 94 940. The car has 140k miles and I'm not sure when the ATF was last changed. I believe this is a AW 70L/ 71L/ 72L transmission.

Instead of a full ATF purge, I tried to drain the ATF from the trans pan and I have loosened the drain nut but it has stripped and is now just spinning in place. It doesn't want to come out.

I'm a bit humbled and not sure what to do next.... Replace the whole pan, maybe?

I think I can drive it but am not sure (it might leak a little) to get parts.

Advice appreciated. Thanks.
