source for new aftermarket idle air control/motor 200 1986

brixters
it appears the bosch iac is no longer available. so i tried to find an aftermarket source--i wanted a new one

I have an 86 245 which i thought at first the iac died.

i bought an aftermarket iac, as a replacement for the bosch p/n ending 520, which appears to be compatible with -501.

i bought it from a german company that rebuilds maf's. ~$50 + $6 shpg. the part is sourced from LOEWE Automobil, their part number 57501.

it looks like exactly parts from china after i chased it online.

i haven't installed the new one because i took my old one apart and made sure it could move, although i'm not sure if it only needed a good cleaning or it was really stuck which needed to be opened.

the car runs fine after i put it back together, correctly.

so i kept the new one as a spare and picked a used spare from the junkyard.

point: looks like you can buy the same exact part from chinese mfrs, at a much cheaper cost. although the new part is LOWE ink-stamped,the photo is exactly the same as chinese photos. also, after repeated questions where is the part manufactured, i haven't received a response from LOWE.
