Where are the injector cups? 1800 1973

You guys are going to get tired of me before this is over....

So I set up a make-shift injector cleaning operation that uses compressed air to force carb cleaner through the injector while applying power to the injector in a click-click-click fashion. I pushed carb cleaner both directions through the injectors and got all 4 to flow well when attached to the fuel rail. I went to install the injectors into the engine and couldn't figure out why the lower seals didn't seem to fit properly. Oh my gosh, there are no cups on the injector tips. That's the way the car was when I bought it.

So, is installing new cups something I can DIY or does it require special tools?
