One way power window 900

I recently had the front passenger power window on my 940 fail to go up, after being all the way down. The problem was a broken wire in the cable bundle going through the driver's door front jam. The power windows use a DC motor, and polarity is changed for up and down. The two rear and the front passenger power windows ground through the switches in the driver's door. When a wire is broken in the cable bundle in the driver's door front jam, the window will only travel one way.

If you experience a one way power window, you will want to check for continuity between the power window switch connector, and the corresponding window switch connector in the driver's door. The problem will almost always be at the most used driver's door, although I've had speaker wires fail at a rear door.

I ran one new wire around the bundle in the driver's door jam. I expect another wire will fail in the future.
