How do I adjust the angle of the front window glass? 700

I have experienced this several times on 7/9 series cars. The only solution I came up with was to swap out the mechanism for one that does not have the "slop" that allows the window to go up at an angle.

It is hard to determine if a used mechanism is acceptable without being able to run the wind up and down and check for gaps.

The wind noise that accompanies a tilted glass is extremely annoying. I have found that if I use one hand to push the glass up at the front while closing the window the gap is eliminated until lowering the window and then once again raising it. Not a real fix but it stops the wind noise.

Here is a link to a thread I started a couple of years ago addressing this problem. Note the explanation of the door design change as well as the attachment of the mechanism to the door.
