760 abs light... Info needed 700 1988

Hey guys:

In addition to the srs light, my otherwise solid '88 turbo wagon has a constant on abs light which I am determined to solve properly, because I want the abs to work.

I've educated myself about cleaning the sensors, and the hidden fuse(which wasn't blown). My question is, if I clean the sensors and that was the root cause, is the system going to automatically pull itself out of default or is there another "voodoo" procedure to go through to reset it?

If that doesn't reset it, where then? I've read some vague mentions of relays on the module under the hood, but too vague to be useful. I have access to a few 940/960's at the junkyard, none as old as mine though. Thanks.
