No start: instrument panel lights all on ('93 940 156K) 900

Hope you're well. Thank you for your questions! The crank sensor is about a decade old, so it could have "gone intermitent". I'll check that tomorrow.

The fuel system relay is only three years old, so is less likely to have failed. I replaced the transmission linkage bushings in 2007: there's no "slop" in the shift lever - the usual sign that bushings have failed - so I'd guess the bushings are still sound.

On one occasion - when turning the key to "start" did not produce any sound at all from the starter - I moved the shift lever from park to neutral. When I turned the key to start, the engine cranked and powered-up as usual.
