Lower balljoint dustcap full of rust dust. 120-130 1967

I decided to replace the lower balljoints, to see if it eased up the steering effort, what with Vredestein 165's still seemed excessive.

The old balljoint itself is tight enough, but the snap ring holding the rubber dustcover in place is rusted/gone, and the cover itself is full of rust dust. The dust cover is intact.

No real question, I guess, except about the probability that the steering effort will be reduced after I wrench apart and replace all ten bolts.
