Hope you're well. To save war-and-tear on your hands, remove the light cluster.
The cluster is secured by three, 10mm hex nuts. They are best removed using a 1/4" ratchet, extension bars, and a 10mm deep socket.
Remove the loadspace floor panels on either side of the loadspace, i.e., the small panels between the load space hatch opening and the wheel wells. Also remove the color-matched plastic panels, that allow access to the light cluster's wiring harness terminals.
Use a 1/4"-wide flat-tip screwdriver to remove these color-matched plastic access panels. Insert the tip of the screwdriver under the top edge of the plastic panel and press the screwdriver handle towards the hatch opening. The panel will "pop" loose. If the plastic is very cold, warm it with a hair dryer: old, cold plastic is brittle!!!
You'll see - in the metalwork, just below the level of the loadspace floor - two holes about one inch (25mm) in diameter. Insert the 10mm deep socket through the hole and remove both 10mm hex nuts a the bottom of each cluster. The third nut is accessed above the reversing light (clear lens).
When these three nuts are removed, the light cluster can be pulled clear of the bodywork and the bulb-holders accessed. You can also inspect the wiring harness contacts and - if corrosion is present - remove it.
