manual climate control operation, '93 940 900 1993

'93 940 wagon

I've read all the FAQs I could, but still have a couple of questions for you good folks.

Manual climate control unit -
Mine has, from the left, blower motor speed, air discharge selector, temp selector

1- is the discharge selector a vacuum switch, in which the knob directs master vacuum to the doors inside the air handler?

2 - is the temp selector also a vacuum switch, or does it operate a rod?

3 - do the vacuum lines attach individually, or is there a plastic/rubber multi-line connector?

Thanks
