performance differences between '87 and '92 200

They are both wagons. The '87 was a manual, the '92 is an automatic. Before the A cam the '87 needed to be very carefully set up and timed to pass or merge onto the freeway, doing anything you want with the gearbox. After changing the cam it was like passing with a 500cc motorcycle rather than a 350. The '92 gets going pretty repectably for a heavy 20+ year old car. I'd say the difference is in the 3-5 second range.

What I'm really wondering is if putting the A cam in the '92 will improve the performance...
