tailgate wire issues ? 200 1992

Hi Greg,

"Art, how did you open the crimps on the rivited connectors and re-do them so neatly?"

I admit it was tricky. I used a pick to open the crimp until I could pull the old wire out. Then needle nosed pliers to squeeze it over the new wire. Finished with some flux and solder. Flux and solder come easy to me. I would have crimped instead, but I figure I'd never get a good job done re-staking the pot metal.

By the way those pics were taken in 2002. It lasted until I did it over again in 2013.
