Weber 32/36 carb jetting advice 444-544

I installed a B20 engine .030 over with a weber carb. The engine runs very rich all the time and turning the mixture screw all the way in makes little or no difference. Easily starts dead cold with no choke and the plugs are pretty black. Pops and backfires thru the carb when you back off the accelerator.
I'm not a carb guy but I'm guessing that I need to put in smaller idle jets and main jets. The idle jet is marked '50' and the only smaller jet I am seeing is a .040. I have not opened the carb up to check the primary and secondary main jet sizes.
Can any carb gurus let me know if I'm on the right track before I tear into this thing?

Thanks!
