So many possible causes!

Is your ignition system in good condition (wires, distributor ...). If you have an inductive timing light, sequentially connect it to each plug wire and speed the engine up to the trouble RPM range and see if the timing light displays erratic operation when the miss occurs. If the timing light operation becomes erratic, then chances are the problem is ignition related.
