That is interesting about not being able to locate Michelins.
Out here, on the west coast, Costco carries them.
I see them on the shelf in central California from Redding on down.
I can get them in Medford Oregon on a preordered basis. They come out of Reno Nevada in about two days by Federal Express or the Brown guys, UPS.
The Medford store does not stock them due to low demand there. It's a manager choice at each store.
I wondered if you tried Costco. There have $70 off on four about every other month. They rotate with Bridgestone. Michelins are claiming very high warranty Mileages.
The price you paid is about the same put on the car but they breathe 100% nitrogen into them, for what's that's worth.
The Michelins always have had held their air inside them better than any other tires I have used but this nitrogen idea seems to do even better.
I know what you think and I have thought it too, that regular smog filled air is all ready 80% nitrogen.
Well, there is something about the numbers or sizes of molecules making a difference. They seem to remain even more constant in pressure whenever I check them between two different locations of my houses. I have one in Northern coast California and another in Central coast California.
There is usually a 7 to 10 degree average temperature differences.
Yet the tire pressure does not move much, if any that I can tell while using the same gauge at both places? Elevations being the same too!
Costco carries the B F Goodrich and Bridgestone brands in California and on the shelves. Don't know about our conservative 14 inch ones but I took notice of the Michelins being there.
I have seen those humongous/monstrous 4X4 off road tires that are $400 to $600 to a piece.
I see them on display out in front. Two of those laying on their sides look as long and as high as our Volvos.
I just purchased a set of Volvo Orion 15" X7" wheels, as a plan "B", if 14" become obsolete down the road.
I hope I did not make a mistake?
