Strut Inserts or Replace Strut 700 1989

Thank you Randy and Mac Duff for your advice. I do live in a snow state, NJ where roads are frequently salted in the winter. I'm sure that has taken a toll on my 26 year old 740 wagon. Use it for local driving now, use to be used for long trips and commuting to work. I replaced the rear shocks last Tuesday - not too difficult expect for the cold weather. I'm not sure I want to replace the inserts myself or have it done by a local foreign car mechanic.

I did look at the posts under 700 struts and found as you said a large number of posts. Still have to check prices. Have bought many parts from FCP Groton in the past and find their prices reasonable.
I believe they changed their name to Fcpeuro. I'll also check Ipd and local auto stores.

Again many thanks for answering my post.
