Dead 1978 Volvo 245DL 200 1978

I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt because...

I have on person I was trying to buy a 240 from tell me that the car died at an intersection and the towing company mechanic said it was a broken crankshaft. When asked if she was perhaps talking about a "crankshaft position sensor" she insisted it was a broken crank. The written estimate proved otherwise...and the mechanic was wrong anyway.
