Removing B-pillar interior trim -- '82 245 wagon 200 1982

Tom, are you certain that connector is inside the B pillar?

My memory isn't real clear on this, but I had hoped you would find this junction under the carpet, following the yellow and blue pair of wires. I do recall being surprised by a change in the central lock harness routing in one year or another among my 79, 83, 84, 89, 90, and 91 models. Seems one went toward the p-brake console from the B-pillar, and the other followed the rocker panel.

Removing the seat belt and trim is more work than I think you need to go through to test the door lock motor. (The chair would be the first thing I would get out of the way) Have you removed the rear door card and examined the workings?

Yes, pull up on the black plastic door sill. I've never ever broken one -- they seem to be tough. The trim over your B-pillar is another story. Made of disintegratium if the light is allowed to hit it just right.

When I accessed these wires on this 84, I did not bother to use the connector, so the picture just does not show it. Just the existence of the blue and yellow pair.
