That's a little scary.. one would think the manufacturer had tested it prior to shipping. I would call IPD and ask them what is going on and why it needs to be tested. If it does, you bought the wrong product and I would get a refund. My guess: some lawyer is trying to reduce product liability and damages claims by putting that disclaimer on the box.
