Is my Brick engine running too cool?? 200 1993

Howdy all,

I've got a 93 245 that runs really cool. About a 1/3 up on the gauge. Sometimes if I'm going up a hill in stop and go traffic with the a/c on it will get almost to the center of the gauge. Almost.

I've got a 82C thermostat in the car currently. I just purchased a 92C but not sure I should install it.

I've heard several things about a car running too cool so not sure. I just did a head gasket and had the head rebuilt. The car ran at the same temp before I did the head gasket.

I have a tropical fan clutch and an auxiliary transmission cooler (no trans fluid in the radiator).. In addition to the electric fan up front.

The car gets around 260 miles per tank of gas so not great milage.

Any advice is appreciated,
HACK
