Wiper motor wiring Q 444-544

First off, to remove the wiper motor, one must be a cunning and determined contortionist.

Mine quite working after about 6 months of owning the car and though us Californians haven't had much of a need for wipers, I still wanted it in working condition. I'm also happy to report that if found one of the plates in the stator shifted just a whisker and prevented the rotor from freely turning. with the precision of surgeon, I gave it a tap or two from a rubber mallet it went back into place. Reassembled the unit and all is good in the world once again.

But now to the real question. My motor has 4 electrical connection. Red, Black and 2 green, yet most of the diagrams I've found show 3 connections. Any idea what the 2nd green post might be?

Thanks
