Stop Start 940se 200f 900

I have a problem, but NO HAIR i hope you can guess why. My 200f on a short journey then will not start,it turns over well smells of fuel, If i then wait about 3/4 hour then it will start. There is a spark, Fuel, the Rev Counter does not bounce nor the horn will not work when attempting to turn over the engine, everything else works I think this could be electrical
could this be the contacts behind the switch, any help on this problem would be very pleasing to my wife for she will not go out on her own for obvious reasons, This car by the way has done 187.00 miles and has had various parts fitted over the years.
Thanks Stigansven
