OBD Code 1-3-2 900

Dear jd620,

Hope you're well. On a '93 940, the fuel pump relay is white, rectangular in cross-section, with six connectors. It is mounted on the main relay panel, behnd and atop the fuses.

If this relay is the factory-installed item, it is at/near the end of its service life, so does not owe you a penny. It should be replaced: even if it is has not failed, it will do so before too long. If you don't have a maintenance "log", whereon you record parts replacements, adjustments, etc., you might want to write on the new relay, the installation date.

The term "false flag" conveys that the OBD codes are disinformation: they point you in a direction away from the likely cause of the intermittent failures.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
