73 ES steering gearbox 1800

I have just re- aligned my rag joint and gear box. Had a small eccentric motion in the steering column and did this to minimize it.

I disconnected gearbox side of the rag joint and loosened the bolts holding the gearbox in place. Reconnected the rag joint letting the gear box float. I then tightened the gear box in place.

Now I have an immediate and dramatic pull to the left. Could all of my adjustments have messed up the alignment that much or did I use an improper procedure to do this work?

Still having fun!
