Idle problem 140-160 1969

I got an idle problem with my ’69 164. The car starts normally (choke out as usual). Starts off driving perfectly on the country roads here, with very little stopping, at highway speeds, everything is great. Then, after running for awhile, if I do stop or get into some stop-and-go traffic, the idle is rough and it wants to stall. A little background: Motor was rebuilt just a few years ago, it’s got a BW35 automatic, K cam and standard points, etc. It was suggested to me that I upgrade to a Petronix system. What do you all think?
