Stop Start 940se 200f 900

Have you ever changed the fuel system relay(s)?

Your car has a Radio Suppression Relay (RSR) under the hood beside the battery that supplies 12V+ primary power to the fuel injectors. This relay receives it's 12V- ground source from the LH Jetronic Module to "power on" the fuel injectors.

You car also has a Fuel System Relay located on the relay rail behind the ashtray in front of the shifter. On my 94 model 940, it is located on the front row, right of center, but on your car, it may be located in the center of the back row (according to my Mitchell's Repair). It is a small cube type double pole relay that also receives it's 12V- ground source form the Jetronic Module. This relay powers the fuel pump(s).

If either of these relays are becoming defective, they can cause intermittent starting, and/or stalling.

Definitely worth a look.

Hope this helps
