I love the look of the Step-side (http://home.lyse.net/brox/TonyPage4.html). A few years back, we bought a Temporary car so we could take the truck off the road and do some needed body repair. My Friend and neighbor owns a collision shop. I did all the work but I was able to do it in his shop and get help if I stumbled.
I got all the parts at his cost. New doors new fenders, cut out and welded in new Cab Corners blah blah blah. After that my wife kind of liked the smaller vehicle and we were both much happier having the Temp car exposed to the possibility of Parking Lot door dings. So since the rebuild, the car hasn't seen a salty road. I drive it every once in a while just to make sure it runs. I love the look, Both my kids were brought home from the hospital, when they were born, in that truck. They just don't make trucks with that personality anymore. We plan on moving soon. Although it sounds like the truck would be helpful on this 22 acre Plot, and it would, I can't fathom tossing logs and stone and debris into the Bed of that truck. So there it is
