odometer out 200 1991

Here's a reply to Jon_H's response. I'd not checked for replies after the first day or two of posting, so I'm just now seeing yours. It does sound like you're thinking that the hitch installer could have messed with some wiring at the rear axle. The speedometer is working fine. Do both speedometer and odometer use the same sensor. I'll crawl under and see what I can see. I've not used the push button odometer reset, so I'm sure I didn't break the gear in that manner, but the car's a 91 so I'm sure the gear could have shot craps on its own. It just seemed very coincidental that the odometer quick working immediately after the trailer hitch installation.
