1993 940 turbo piston clearance 1993

Yeah, this has more to do with my son's doings in installing a 1993 turbo engine in his 1979 242. He has decided to rebuild the turbo engine before installing in his car. He bought new Mahle pistons for the rebuild and plans to have the engine bored. The odd thing is, according to Mahle, the piston to wall clearance would be .0008" which our machine shop raised eyebrows. Less than one thousandth of an inch does seem tight. We did not buy a manual for the '93 yet and wondering if someone can tell me what the stock Volvo wall clearance is?
